I’ve seen his book on the bookshelf, but never bought it simply because it was more money than I was willing to spend on a “beltway libertarian’s” book (we all have our prejudices). After watching this video, I think I’m going to buy his book next time I have some spending money in my wallet.
Despite working for Reason Magazine, Doherty is a Rothbardian anarchist. He is worth reading.

He also lives down the street from our beloved Dave Gordon. What dinner parties that must make for!
Ha-ha. How I wish I could go to a dinner party with a Brian Doherty or David Gordon.

I have the book and even though I can’t comment on it’s historical accuracy - I wasn’t there when everything happened - it seems oke. Seems to make reasonable assessments of peoples strengths and weaknesses, analyze it, makes some good libertarian points and so on and so forth.
