So you may have heard about the advent of the so-called “super PACS”. Basically they are a brand new breed of political action committee, and are officially known as “independent-expenditure only committees.” They were made possible by the famous Supreme Court decision we all heard so much about last year (you remember…everyone was saying "well now corporations can just buy the elections because there’s no contribution limits, blah blah blah). You may have heard talk about “campaign finance reform”.

They are basically a way for people to group together and pool money and resources for political purposes, thus making it easier for outside candidates to get into a race…as, in general, the entire system is set up to favor incumbents.

So of course individuals not associated with the Ron Paul campaign have set up a Super PAC for him, and they set a moneybomb day of this Monday, September 19. This is the day everyone is supposed to contribute, and there are no contribution limits.

They’ve already done a number of promo spots, and they’re pretty awesome. Definitely check out the RevolutionPAC youtube channel and see them.

Here’s the deal: The RevolutionPAC bomb is on Monday the 19th. However, the Ron Paul campaign is holding a moneybomb on Saturday the 17th (Constitution Day). So what you need to figure is your contribution amount. Obviously, if you’re giving less than $2500, you may want to donate directly to the campaign on Saturday. The PAC is generally for those who have maxed out their donation (i.e. reached the legal limit one can donate directly to a campaign…$2500) and wish to donate more to help the cause. However , it may be advantageous to consider donating to the PAC anyway, so as to make the biggest splash possible, and help fund a tv run of the ad seen below…then donate to a later Paul moneybomb.

So spread the word of the PAC bomb on the 19th, and especially inform all your wealthy friends who can donate more than $2500. Again, the promos are great, and Tom Woods has done an excellent job explaining and promoting it. Check those videos on the PAC youtube channel

Folks, then finally set something up and direct us foreigners to it.
Last time around we all sat here with our wallets open and nobody was willing to take something out of it.
Sell papercards with a revolution sign for 50 bucks or sell a pdf-file witha signed autograph or do whatever. We gonna buy it as long as the revenue (which should be awesome with papercards) goes to the Paul campaign and if you tell us WHERE!!!

I contacted RonPaulSwag.com about purchasing items on behalf of Americans who wouldn’t have the free cash to afford items like shirts, yard signs, etc. Benito Segovia there emailed me back saying there is a lot of demand for yard signs and that they would dearly appreciate my order.

I am still working out the logistics- he gave me an address to use for shipping - but I thought it was a little odd I would need to pay for shipping over and above the cost of the yard signs. Surely they could manage the delivery of these foreign-bought signs in a more cost-effective manner. I’ll update when I get a response.

  • Take in unlimited donations from nearly any source, other than foreign nationals and government contractors

So evidently, if you’re a foreign national, no you still can’t donate to a PAC…even a super one. But it would appear you can purchase merchandise from places like that RonPaulSwag.com and have it shipped to a local…but obviously if you’re in the U.S. you can receive it help post the signs or wear the shirts yourself…and if you can’t, I would contact the RevolutionPAC and see if you can donate your merchandise to them.

I don’t see the point of any of this, when Ron Paul doesn’t have a snow ball’s chance in hell of winning the Republican nomination. Do not waste your time. The old man is done. I wish he hadn’t given up his House seat; there’s nothing left for him after 2012.

If you pay attention to his campaign, it’s not about him, it’s about his cause. Any money donated helps not just spread Ron Paul’s name, but it spreads the idea of liberty. And that’s what we’re fighting for. Ron Paul has mentioned many times that his campaign is not about him, but about liberty.
