Just read about plans to put in place a rice cartel (incorporating initially Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, Laos and Cambodia). Any validity to this or is it just a rumor at this point?
And what’s up with the export bans on rice in many producer nations? You would think these nations would want to profit from the high price of rice.
