Murray N. Rothbard obviously liked JFK assassination conpiracy theories and was even mildly critical of Oliver Stone’s classic film JFK, because it didn’t point far enough about the CIA involvement.
I noticed that Rothbard portraits favorably some JFK books written by Mark Lane (”Plausible Denial” and ”Rush to Judgment”). Mark Lane has a slightly anti-Semitic friend, Michael Collins Piper, who in 1994 wrote a book about JFK assassination titled ”Final Judgment”. Piper expands the official Garrison thesis further and makes an interesting case about possible Israeli involvement in the JFK assassination. According to Piper, the motive to kill the president was his opposition to the Israeli nuclear program.
Here the story comes very interesting. The Mises Institute has some copies of this book in their libraries. Because they inherited most of Rothbard’s books, I am interested to know whether Rothbard read this book and if he did, what did he think about its thesis. One must remember that the book was published a year before his passing away and obviously he was sympathetic with Lane’s thesis and interested in the JFK assassination especially during his last years because of the mania created by ”JFK” by Oliver Stone.
