What is wrong with these people anyway? Their days of the Red Terror in the 1930s were bad enough, but instead of getting discredited and isolated away from normal people slowly throughout the decades, they still gain supporters.
Why do anarchists always disturb the peace over the most trivial issues? Why do they think the clergy is guilty until proven innocent of anything they charge against them?
It’s these people who burn cars, attack police, riot on streets, and loot stores everytime a major event happens - visit of Pope, G20 conference, fiscal reforms, anything. Criticise them for it, and they act like everyone else is the problem and is a part of an evil establishment conspiracy.
Okay, since there are going to be 100 posts saying the same thing, I’ll get this out of the way.
The syndicalist version of anarchists (based in Italy, Spain, and Greece) have been using anarchist for far longer than the Auburn folks have, and it’s pointless for Mises forum folks to continue the line of “We are true anarchists, they are just statists”. No sorry, they have been using the word for far longer and everybody else just appropriated it.
Maybe it is agent provacateurs. Plus the 50 million dollar price tag of the visit. Which is meant to ‘stimulate’ the economy.

Maybe they are protesting the excess and hierarchy of organized religion.
I wouldn’t compare it to some Red Terror. They aren’t killing anyone. And they are in no position to.
Spanish youth unemployment tops 40%. That makes for a large number of useful idiots as socialism leads us into a new Dark Ages. Free the economy and people would be too busy working and earning and living to engage in such nonsense.
