People love the government. They want to pay taxes. They love it. They defend it with every inch of themselves. Is it stolen if they want it to be taken?

“Wanting” to give your money to some entity out of “love” is charity. It’s hardly charity if taxation is imposed with force.
Let’s do a social experiment. 5 years of not paying taxes. See how much people love it afterward.
It is not stolen but it is still extorted, there is still the implied and threatened use of force if they should refuse to pay.
When you mean “people” do you mean the ones who no longer are paying taxes and are keeping all the money they earned, or the parasites who feed off the tax money?

I don’t defend it with every inch of my body. I don’t defend it at all. So yes, the government is stealing from me. But I don’t know if I would necessarily call it theft from those that like paying taxes. Kind of hard to say though, since we know if the government sent a tax bill, and said to ignore it if you do not want government services, that no one would pay taxes.
No. At that point they are voluntarily paying that government for protection services, which means that in relation to them, the government is not state and is, instead, I dare say, a private defense agency.

I’m referencing those who advocate government and taxes. Is the tax those people pay actually theft since they are advocating it and want it? Clearly it is theft from anyone who disagrees with it.
It’s both frustrating and relieving to hear someone else say it. Frustrating because it’s true. Relieving because I feel that if I view it as such, an alternative to coercive government will be easier to develop.

False. Since taxation by definition is compulsory, the statement is meaningless. On the other hand, IF people really had the OPTION to pay, OR NOT, and they paid after all, you could conclude that taxes are not taxes (…).
The fact that some people claim to pay voluntarily AFTER the state put a gun to their head, is mostly irrelevant. I personally think they are lying - they don’t want to pay but they pretend they want so as to not admit they are being forced / save face.
It’s also true that people who are net tax consumers don’t mind paying taxes since they are stealing more than they pay after all.
QFT. There are well documented cases where rape victims will “play along” to avoid being hurt further. Sad but true.
