Tea Party Sign: "Sarah Palin Not Welcome"

Someone should hold up a sign at the tea party, saying:

“Sarah Palin Not Welcome”

Neo conservatives that support endless wars and homeland security police state policies are not welcome in a limited government rally…

eh well the cool thing about her is that she’s hot right now. Besides she’s not going to get the nomination. Or at least I don’t think she will.

I find nothing ‘cool’ about her, and really don’t understand her appeal.

I have no idea why any Tea Partier should like her, if they are against big government, taxes, et al.

She represents the base. The Republican Party is not just fiscal conservatives, it’s social conservatives too and I personally want her at every rally to bring the two movements together.

Shouldn’t everyone leave the Tea Party movement, then? [:P]

I’m debating my anti-neocon protest sign slogan(s) for my local rally this Saturday.

The Tea Party isn’t the Republican Party.

Problem is the tea party is too much of a hodge-podge of different people. You have people in it who are really libertarian (they just don’t know it), and those who are really republican. Overall, they tried to claim they are anti-big goverment, but they seem to too often allow big government types to try to co-opt them.

Wearing this shirt should deal with Palin:

I know right? If politicians are such awesome leaders why aren’t they turning down multimillion dollar offers to be CEOs of companies? Maybe they’re not a profit leader but they could at least go run goodwill or some international charity for a while. None of them can claim “yeah in 3 years as CEO of goodwill my initiatives increased the amount of clothing sold, raised wages to $15/hr for employees and implemented a canadian style healthcare plan.”

Frankly i think Obama/Mccain/Palin would make terrible leaders. Oh wait they do.

Meaning you’ll use my response to limitgov’s post? I’m confused [:(]

You are right mate. But it may be too late already. Tea Party movements may have been compromised already. I am seeing the same thing I’ve seen happen here in Europe to secessionist movements which haven’t been outlawed.

No, that was kind of tangential, sorry. I don’t think pointing out their hypocrisy will accomplish much. I think there are some flyer templates around here, or I will design something to get people to mises.org and on the right track… maybe.

Too true.

Our founders idea was that you would be successful, then spend some time serving your community/state as a politician, then return to your real career. They did not want the idea of career politicians (which, IMO, term limits could help eliminate). “Public Service” should not be a career goal.

Let’s be honest here. What EXACTLY are Obama’s accomplishments??? AFAIK, he really doesn’t have any. He worked for ACORN (big deal, and now nothing to brag about). Then he got elected. But other then being a politican, what has he DONE???

Same for McCain, Palin, et al.

Speaking of not welcome, I noticed when I was looking through U.S. immigration code that communists are not allowed to be naturalized as nationals.

The republicans are trying (and succeeding) in taking over the tea party movement… at the top, i think their goal is to neutralize the party by doing so.

I think they want to make sure the tea party doesn’t go elsewhere, yeah. I mean that wouldn’t be good for the Republican Party.

Being a Jewish conservative that supports endless war against a endless enemy and against homeland police state from Pres. Obama, who is taking away more and more of our freedoms, flash back WWll. I thought this site was about a way to handle moneies on a larger scale. Must be on the wrong site. Tea Parties have every right to speak their views so if your thinking is so HOT and ON target why haven’t we seen that point of view at the tea parties? I for one like Sarah Palin and wish we had more people like her. Oopps wait a minute… the tea party, WE DO!

Eh? Jewish conservative? Are you referring to Bloom?

That’s good.

So the first part of your post was quite confusing, but I think you said you support endless war against an endless enemy. I’ll ask: what made that enemy our enemy in the first place? And our freedoms being taken away did not start with Obama. This website represents far more than just “a way to handle monies on a larger scale.” The Tea Parties have every right to speak their views, yes. However, our thinking being “so HOT and ON target” has little to do with the Tea Parties. They’re nothing more than a conservative, Republican movement. If you’re asking why more people don’t accept our views and use that as an excuse against us, I suggest you come up with better arguments. Don’t go appealing to some majority authority, now! If you think we need more people like Sarah Palin, well…
