DO NOT DESTROY THE GOVERNMENT LIBERTARIANS! IF YOU DO, IT WILL MEAN THE DESTRUCTION OF SOCIETY AS WE KNOW IT. PEOPLE WILL BE UNEMPLOYED, THE POOR WILL SUFFER, AND THERE WILL BE MASSIVE CHAOS EVERYWHERE. THEREFORE, IT IS WAY WAY WAY TOO EXTREME TO ABOLISH THE GOVERNMENT.

This is the words, from my dad again, that the abolition of government should be avoided at all costs. When I talked about making government voluntary, he said it would not work because of the free rider problem and public goods.

Feel free to make any comments on the argument’s problems.

There’s nothing stoping anyone from saying no and ignoring the government other than implicit declarations to violence.

There are unemployed people, the poor are suffering, and there is chaos now. Mention that to your father.

This is getting tedious. Here’s an idea: make a thread devoted to all the nonsense your parents come up with, and limit yourself to it. It’ll save everyone a lot of time and save a lot of space.
