I am not a pacifist by nature (I am more of a non aggression pact type). Lately however I have been fascinated by the power of non violence. It seems that peace is closer to chaos/ entropy, and while some one or some thing can become very powerful, the power ends up collapsing. The easy most seductive path always seems to be that of establishing forceful power (whether it be for “benevolent altruistic reasons” or complete selfishness) and is certainly the road most taken, but I have yet to see any of these ideas last over 200 yrs. For the first time in my life I am actually intrigued by far eastern thought and philosophy (as of now I know practically zip), which I would have completely have disregarded a year ago.
How powerful is non violence, is it kind of like “the force” in Star Wars? Maybe we can’t control it we just have to know how to work with it? These are very interesting concepts for me right now, as for the first time in a long time I finally have time to exploit and can read and meditate on such thoughts.
