If states secede, there will be their own internal power issues. You’ll have plenty of Constitutionalists and state statists that will want to impose tariffs and taxes, to claim land through eminent domain etc.
Not to mention that if things get bad enough in the US to facilitate secession(s), then things will be very bad indeed. You will see a lot of people in bad shape economically. Like super bad.

Save your energy, I am not the enemy. But I am saying underestimating your enemy is the quickest way to guarantee defeat. Your enemy is not the US government, but the concept of the state itself. We went through a bunch of “secessions” in our parts 17 years ago and I can`t see the state is any weaker for it. Even if there is a mega crisis and everybody tries to seperate from Washington? Do you think those will be anarchist movements? People go bonkers in a crisis, in conditions of upheavel they will become everything but nice little libertarians.
