I don’t support the war at all, and I know that all the problems right now are a result of the U.S Government’s meddling. However, what the hell can we do at this point? Pakistan has WMD’s, having Pakistan’s weak government lose to Al-Qaeda means that they will have possession of the WMD’s. You know how Al-Qaeda feels about us.
All of this is making me nervous and depressed as hell. I hate thinking about it. But really what the hell can be done. Pulling out will bankrupt us at this point, can we solve this current international problem and then stop being imperialistic?
Staying in won’t make us richer nor safer. The problems will be solved when our well runs dry.
No need to be nervous or sad, the abundance of new Obama warriors will swiftly kill the 500 or so Al-Qaeda members left in that area, too bad they’ll likely take out 10s of thousands innocents in the process, but I guess the new pipeline will be worth it for some folks?
I don’t really understand any of the wars in Iraq of Afghanistan or Pakistan or why we support isreal. That part of the world just doesn’t seem like a threat to us at all except for Iran, who we haven’t openly touched yet.

East to China
West through Iran, Russia, and Turkey to Europe
South through Afghanistan and Pakistan
The Taliban who controlled Afghanistan before 9/11 made pipeline deals with non-US companies and refused to change them to give control of the region’s resources to the US
So you disagree with nations acquiring WMD? If so, how can you reconcile this with the advocacy of citizens having the right to bear arms? Isn’t it the very same situation?
