… The Zionist strategy is to stop the very popular conservative Ron Paul. Because there is obviously no candidate that can beat Paul in popularity or on the issues, the Zionists are supporting a slew of venal candidates in order to steal as many votes as possible from Paul. These candidates are essentially a gang of Zionist-funded candidates who form the anti-Paul coalition. Using privately-owned and controlled electronic voting systems like ES&S, the South Carolina primary shows how the Zionists plan to block Ron Paul from being the Republican nominee…
I think it’s slightly different. Pro-Israeli lobbyists have thrown tons of money at pretty much every candidate with the slightest chance of getting a presidential nomination in the past few decades. Politicians may not have a clue about the consequences of their actions but they know very well posing as “friends of Israel” guarantees money in form of campaign contributions and media exposure. To get elected you need both. As much as Ron Paul’s fund-raising campaign is doing astonishingly well considering he’s getting the bulk of his money from individuals, it’s small fries compared to what lobbies can throw in. Do you see a simple citizen contributing to the “Newt Gingrich money bomb”? Gingrich may be a bigoted violent old fool but he knows he’d better not even try since he’ll be dead in the water before even starting. Moreover why bother with the uncertainty of trusting your potential electors when lobbies can (and will) contribute huge sums the moment they understand you are their friend? Why trust the Internet and word of mouth when huge media conglomerates will cram you down the electors’ throat without even a pretension of criticism?
Being Ron Paul is just too much of a hassle: you need to be coherent and to cater for the needs of people able to think with their own brain. Better to walk the old path of being the lobbyists’ best friend and let Big Media and your PR office handle the rest.
In fact, Michael Sheuer lost his job at a think tank because when he criticized Israeli influence, the donors of the think tank withheld donations until he was fired. The same thing happens in Congress.
It’s used almost as a slur nowadays. It’s like the word “Islamists”. I’ll be laughing pretty hard when people start saying “Christianists” and “Chinaists”.
