There Ain't No Fraud In Science!

I called this happening, but I’m happy it’s finally going to be common knowledge.

This next part doesn’t really need its own thread, but it has to do with statistics/calculations. The Washington Post just sent this to me: “House Republicans’ plan to repeal the health care reform law would increase the deficit by $230 billion by 2021, according to a preliminary analysis from the Congressional Budget Office.” How is that possible? Are these just fake numbers like usual?

Glad he got around to admitting the fraud in the past 12 years. But he is really busy.

Any presentation of any budget projection for more than the next year is fraud, except for an individual on a fixed income and with a fixed-price contract providing all of his needs.

The idea of any government giving a serious budget projection for more than a year is sheer lunacy.

On the other hand, modern “science” is full of fraud…leading me to wonder what the point of the subject line for this thread may be.

Much of what we call “science” does not follow the scientific method, even when it’s not faked data. Even theoretical physicists live by what amounts to fraud…their instrumentalist methodology is not real science at all.

Most certainly, no “study” that is actually a survey of self-selecting groups is even close to being science, when reported as anything other than part of the information-gathering phase. You cannot conclude anything from such a survey.

How do you think the scientific community should conduct itself, before you would feel comfortable with calling it “Science”.

I agree. Especially with the whole ‘global warming’ deal. First it was global cooling, then holes in the ozone layer, then the greenhouse effect, etc. The way I see it, if the science is applicable and can help, then it’s science. Otherwise, I don’t care.

I thought that evaluation was pretty bizarre too. Basically the current situation will get worse than it would otherwise if we decide not to do what we haven’t implemented yet anyway…

Or there is option 2. That these sons of bitches are so full of shit that they can’t even make it semi-plausible anymore. And thanks to the exciting conclusion of “Recycled Crap: Bermuda” or whatever stupid bullshit show is hot this year they don’t have to.

A budget is an arbitrary financial plan. It is not a factual claim. Therefore, it can’t be fraudulent.
