"From a non-economic (more philosophical) viewpoint I am curious what you guys think in regards to being “that” guy that a girl sleeps with when she decides to cheat on her boyfriend.
I recently was critisized for being “that” guy that slept with a girl that was unhappy with her relationship and wanted to have a good time with someone else. I am framed as only looking out for what I want and not being “decent”.
My take on it is this: I don’t own this girl’s body, if she is unhappy with her relationship and wants to sleep with someone else then that’s her decision to make and so be it, I get laid in the process, sweet. I didn’t break any contracts or agreements on my end so I didn’t really do anything wrong. Or am I just an a-hole?"
Perhaps my framing wasn’t executed in the best fashion, however, I was probing the morality and philosophical viewpoint in regard to this act from other posters on here. I am always intrigued by the viewpoints people have on controversial issues here given their knowledge of the NAP, MIses’ Human Action, objectivism, what is “selfishness” etc..
Given that I have read many posts in the past in regard to child pornography, prostitution, drunk driving etc. I didn’t feel that I was asking anything too off the deep end of what has already been discussed in the past on here and just wanted to hear the thoughts of others.
I wasn’t trying to troll or do anything other than bounce the question off of a few of you here.
