And plus Thomas Jefferson wasn’t exactly a libertarian President. He started the war with the Balkans after misleading Congress with false information (sound familiar?). His embargo policies weren’t all that libertarian either. He may have been libertarian before he was in power, but, once President he quickly became an authoritarian.
