I’m trying to accumulate as many sources as possible in favor of libertarianism and against statism. I daresay I might be able to find some here ![]()
About Material
I am looking for anything that is accessible for free on the internet that is not a book, or if it is a book then one which is divided up into concise and useable sections (For a New liberty is a fairly good example)
Preferences:
Concise and to the point with easily read and quoted materials
Authoritative authors
Videos less than 15 minutes long are the best, but any type of video is the best
Data and figures are usually good to use “Loook at mee! I have a gwaphh! Believe what I sayyy! :O”
Minor preferences:
I would like it if the materials were not from Mises, I already have a lot of sources from this site and I would like to have a wide variety of sites to use, the same thing goes for Cato, so I would appreciate it if only the best sources were cited from these sites.
Government sources or other sources which are not known for biases would be best
Preferably pure text is under 20 pages
Topics
Any topic that supports libertarian viewpoints is welcome! But some topics are more important than others
Historical Topics:
The truth about the industrial revolution
Things the government lied to you about or didn’t tell you (For instance the fact Roosevelt really seems to have set up Japan, and that Coolidge killed thousands)
Why it wasn’t government mandates that helped workers escape poor living conditions
The Great Depression (although I have a fair amount of data on this)
Violations of the constitution
The fed’s role in economic troubles
Against Government horror stories about free markets
Current issue topics:
Why it is that American healthcare is terrible and why other countries don’t have great healthcare systems
The reality behind the Recession and the case for laissez fair
Why the more socialist systems of Europe are not better (here pure data would really be good)
The drug war (data here is appreciated too)
U.S involvement in foreign wars
The case for ending social security
Economic issues
Why it is that government involvement in the economy usually has negative effects
The real reason economies grow
The Reasons capitalism is the best system
Political/other
Against democracy
Pro anarchist legal order and defense
A concise case for libertarian ethics
Why downturns are not part of a free market economy
Pro private charity and public services
Pro minarchist foreign policy
The inherent problems of government
Any data would be really helpful, if you would like to just throw useful sources at me then I would appreciate it. You can not put to much data here, the above are just some stuff that I can specifically think of that I could use.
Thanks!
