I’m thinking about making a website about the so-called Treasury view, which states that any increase in government spending will necessarily crowd out a [roughly] equal amount of private expenditures, therefore creating no net gain for individuals or the economy as a whole. If I do go about creating such a website, would some of you be willing to write a few articles or contribute in some other way (e.g. if you know your way around photobucket, maybe you could make a site logo)?
My general idea is to have a basic campaign-style website that covers the following: government spending and incentives, government deficits and inflation, Say’s law, Ricardian equivalence, etc. I don’t want to create a website that is strictly Austrian or neoclassical or anything else, what I want to do is to create a website that refutes the basic tenets of Keynesianism and then maybe turns the reader to general books on economics (e.g. Callahan’s Economics in One Lesson, Sowell’s series on economics, Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson, Friedman’s Capitalism and Freedom, etc.).
So, anyone in?
