Truly horrific. I simply cannot comprehend that there are people actually okay with procedures like this.
EDIT: Then again, a lot of the comments are calling out inconsistencies of her story versus the recorded video. The air travel situation is ridiculous regardless.
She said on Free Talk LIve a couple of days ago that there is missing footage. Considering the government’s record of hiding evidence that shows it in a bad light, I’m inclined to believe her until she is proven to be lying. It’s sort of fishy that the TSA’s videos are missing their timestamps.
It’s so much more depressing to hear about this happening to young, pretty girls than it is to adult men. Maybe that’s just because I’m a guy, but these types of events give me an actual headache.
I have met Meg, once, and I can tell you that I have heard from someone who knows her much better than I do that she isn’t the most honest person, or at least has made claims in the past about her past that other people question the validity of. Not saying that she has ever lied to me, or that I can recall any specific instance of a lie; just that one of the first things that someone told me about her was basically “don’t take everything she says at face value”
The only thing that I found kind of coincidental was the fact that she’s a part of the Free State Project and just happened to get chosen for the back scatter or whatever that machine is. But I don’t know how many people get chosen for it per day (it looked like a ton of people had to go through) because it might have actually been a coincidence. And I don’t know if being a part of the Free State Project may have gotten her on that list. I’m not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I really just don’t know if there’s some kind of tool they use to decide who is ‘randomly’ picked.
I’ve heard from TSA workers themselves that there seems to be a strong majority of attractive young women who get “randomly” selected. That’s hearsay, of course, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out it’s true. Make a position that legalizes bullying, and don’t you think that just maybe some bullies might accept it? I don’t see how this is any different from the police, except if anything their selection process is less rigorous.
It’s true. Not only that, but a couple different websites have pointed out the low standards for TSA agents. It’s almost regarded the same as community service, so it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if their staff is full of bullies, perverts, etc.
