well,
to clarify then,
the advice holds supposing the beneficiery of the advice:
a) has a positive desire/motive/will to homestead property away from government after having calculated his subjective costs for so doing,
b) wishes to overcome any purely moral objections to taking his desired course of action.
Which brings us to what I wanted to say from the beginning. You can not just “homestead” the so called state property. If you think so then you have no way of condeming parasites such as welfare potatos and political entrepreneurs. If I bribe an official to transfer ownership of a state company to my name I am a thief stealing from the taxpayers. Not a homesteader.
no, qua welfare recipient, there is no theft, no coercion, nothing immoral or unlibertarian. qua supporter of goverment taxation for the purpose of welfare, is an immoral position to hold, and immoral acts follow from acting to support the government in raising funds to be redistributed.
If you bribe a politician to transfer ‘already’ stolen goods to you, you have not become complicit in the theft, so long as you accept that if a more rightful claimant came forward you must concede your gains.
A government grant is not an entitlement, welfare (“Dole”) is.

Well in nationalist metaphysics the nation-state is a political embodiment of a nation so I would be stealing national resources (only entrusted into care and management of the state). But my concern is more with with “actually” and “factually”, less with statist technicalities and nationalist metaphysics.
