Earlier today I was perusing a photo history book of my home town (Lakeland, FL) and came across an interesting blurb. Apparently, some time in the 1880-1890 timeframe there was a separate township in the area named Acton - in honor of Lord Acton. It really jumped out at me off the page. Most people would probably say “who’s that?”
