What would you all say to these claims?

  • "Austrian Economics really is laughed at by real economists.
  • “It’s [Austrian Economics] a pseudo-science.”
  • “If you want better right-wing economics, I’d hit up Milton Friedman, or whatever comes up when you Google freshwater economics.”

Do most economists even know there is something called Austrian Economics?

Is the government or the private sector more efficient? If the answer is the government, then s/he is a lost cause. If the answer is the private sector, then I would ask how can taking from the private sector and giving to the government sector be beneficial?

Didn’t Hayek win the nobel prize for predicting the great depression? More generally, hasn’t Austrianism predicted all the major recessions in the United States and abroad? Aren’t we the only ones advocating real structural change? You don’t see Obama radically restructuring anything.

“Real economists” got us into this economic shit storm, didn’t predict it, and provide few to no real solutions. As far as I can tell Austrian is the fifth largest economic school which is a shame because the Keynsian and Neo-classicals have utterly dominated the profession for so long… And it’s one of the only schools that actually attempts to really exposes the absolute evils and irrationalities behind the state. Also I can’t really rebuttle that which has no calim… Such brilliance in the complaints simplicity.

Economics is different in alot of ways from normal science, it combines many different types of human action and the Austrian school is one of the few that actually attempts to explain human action with praxeology.

What? What is that even supposed to mean? And the Austrian School is one of the few schools that can really put the nail in the coffin of the left wing Keynsian and Marxist schools.
