I would very much like to to see America(spell it right) be a rouge state in the sense we stopped trying to control and regulate the rest of the world. I do not pretend to like the way the government has been or the moralrelitivism that surrounds most of its actions but this does not negate the need for soldiers in fact it is usfull for this cause to have people working to change it on the inside and out.

You still ignore parrt of my very first post about it being a termporary evil that I must be a pawn and that I seve my nation not this government. futhermore i never said murder in the name of the state is not murder but i will say whenmy country is attacked i will feel completly justified in killing the invaders. If we were to invade another it would be unjust.
There is really no contesting that soliders are train to kill first and foremost [ there are others train to heal like combat medics but everyone goes through basic and BRM basic rifle marksmenship ] I wouldn’t call soldiers murderers unless they actually take a life on purpose. There is a question though as to if they voluntarily enter into the environment in which they take life.

well if a person is shooting at you(soldiers) of course you defend yourself by killing them on purpose. Thats my point they volunteer to loose their innocence to shield others from that loss.
They volunteer for a career in which they know they are going to take life. I don’t think it is so simple as to state it is mere defense.
well then heres an interesting question for you. Since thee has been a lot of talk about libertarians and a few other not having balls to fight the state in the case of a full fleged revolution how would you fight the state, you wouldnt have support as an intellectual because you condem those doing the fighting and you bar yourself from fighting
If we could get a good foreign policy( ie one where the only wars we fight are the ones with an enemy on our shores) then it is defense. Thats still my point they put themselves in a situation where they know in advance they will have to give up their human innocence that is lost with taking a life, but they do it so that not all of us have to put a smirch on our morality. That is why they are honorable
A revolution of violence is just as oppressive as the state which we seek to abolish. Ideas win the wars, not bullets.
What is truly honorable is to live a life of harmony and fraternity with other individuals.
I made that same point earlier but the reality is that sometime violence is thrust upon you, say the state got to the point that it violently oppressed us for spreading ideas

from thier perspective it would be. If there were enough of the population with similler sentiment being oppressed and if the resources were at hand why merely fight that one time and stop when they will only marshell thier forces and crack down twice as harsh. There is a point that the state becomes so entrenched it is impossible to fight against( peacefully) because they police system would know and arrest you for mentioning such ideals
The government being unjust is not something new to this forum. If a group tries to kidnap you [ arrest you ] then defend yourself. I don’t see how your claims legitimize pre-empitive violence in order to stop future violence,.
Im not saying I would currently support some sort of violent rebellion but after a point you cant defend yourself. If you are ordered to be be arrested and you fight them off the first time or even better the local authorities are sympathetic to you then what next. The government would send their own agents against you then unless you band together and take initiative your plight is pointless because at best your only arrested and in a jail somewhere but probably dead. You cant even have the benefit of martyrdom because chances are it was all covered up or you were painted as a crazy conspiracy theorist who thought the government was to strong and then they would use the event to seize more liberty

in either case this is all hypothetical and the main point was about the honor of soldiers. They fight for what they believe in and they protect those weaker than themselves. Their beliefs may change should they be presented with more than the mainstream options. I used to be a republican to the death because i didnt know there were other choices or beliefs. They should not be condemned becase they like most people have never heard the ideals of liberterianism or otherwise.
