“Ownership” isn’t really the issue here. The involvment of heavy government funding in ‘climate research’, meaning tax payer funded research, and the proposed legislation based in large part on this research, leaves a tangled trail of ownership that can’t be unravelled. What can be said without a doubt is that the legislation based on this research will be extremely costly to everyone on the planet, and as such, and given the large hand public funding likely played in it, the information should be open and available. However, attempts to hide data from critcs are nothing new in ‘climate science’.
