I had to dig this out of some old article:

A few months ago, Michael Saylor, a high-tech billionaire, put up $100 million to start an online Ivy League university free to students. Imagine an Ivy League-quality education freely available to any student in the world.

Please tell me you haven’t heard of Khan Academy. KA makes this look silly…

Make no mistake, the concept of free online schools is brilliant. People can spend an incalculable fraction of what governments blow on schooling and have a much more effective learning experience, without all the bullshit.

I can only imagine where technology will take us in a decade. Excuses for government intervention are evaporating daily.

I like khan academy too…

Ill try this out, since im only a sophmore in highschool i dont think im smart enough to complete a whole course of this (maybe im just stupid)…

though i admit this site is kinda hard to use..

I don’ t like KA’s video style. I prefer to read most times.

Also, just to note, Saylor isn’t really a libertarian website, so you’ll probably get a “mainstream” view of things.
