With the enormous amount of deficit spending of the past decade, why have we not seen massive inflation yet?
I assume you mean an increase in prices?
Here are higher prices I’ve noticed. I don’t know if they’re from TARP or what: 25% higher gas prices; 10-25% higher grocery prices, milk especially; 15% Whey Protein Concentrate in 25 & 50 lb. bulk sizes from trueprotein.com (though they say it’s from Coke or Pepsi coming out with a new protein drink next year, buying up all the whey); school tuition up about 10-15%, and new fees for excessive hours or repeating courses.
The major ones I hate are the school new school fees. I have to pay a lot more next semester than usual. The whey also sucks. But they all stink.
How much of TARP has actually been spent? Where has it been spent? Price increase does not happen simultaneously and proportionally amongst all goods.
