Why I am here..

Hello Community, my name is Brooks. My father sent me a link to this site some time before the (US) presidential elections while discussing the first bailout. It has taken me this long to become a member. I thought it would only be right to say thank you to those that post on this site and keep it up and running daily. I don’t think I’ve missed a day of checking in since my first visit. Really, thank you. It is the least I can say or do for the wealth of knowledge that this sight offers.

My journey thus far has taken me many places, although my fondest memories are growing up in South East Georgia. I’m pretty young, 25.. and I enjoy learning. I’m the product of a public education and non-college educated due to my interest in travel over my interest in going to college. In some ways I regret not going to college, but in others I feel I have learned much more from experience of a variety of things on my own. I currently live in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico with my wife of four years. There is always time for traditional education, I feel.

I am very interested in history, particularly pre-constitution America and the Roman Empire. Over the past year or so I have also taken a particular interest in economics, which was a result of my interest in micro economic systems. My political views have changed over the years from the far-left “liberal”.. fringe anarchist to where I find myself now as an unaffiliated libertarian.

This has been much longer than I intended it to be, but I couldn’t just type “thank you” and leave it at that now could I?

I look forward to getting to know more about each of you later and contributing to the site that I have grown to love.

Welcome!

Welcome, Brooks! Those are two interests of mine as well.

Hi.

I believe Rothbard talks a bunch about the pre-Constitution era.
