It is a brilliant scheme. Steal, then use the stolen goods to study how the theft was effective.

Of course, and it sounds interesting to. Although, perhaps they’ve already done work on the subject.

Because those people who enjoy a good standard of living think that something must be good about this system, after all its given them so much wealth- so they keep paying.

Those who do not enjoy such a good standard of living are usually on the receiving end of taxes, so they see nothing wrong with the system.

The appeal to quality of life is definitely something that perpetuates all this waste. What isn’t talked about is that we owe our high quality of life to resources and labor from third world countries who are kept in a state of perpetual poverty through international aid (debt) among other things.

I have a bit of a “tip of tounge” thing right now, and it has been bothering me all day, but there is definatly a social psych term used for this behavior. Unfortunatly I did not bring any of my old psych texts or notes with me to my new apartment so I can’t check. Hopefully I’ll be able to recollect better tommorow, unless someone else knows what I’m talking about?
