The first thing I “said” (to myself) was this:
If “the economy is perking up,” is that because of Obamanomics, or in spite of it?
Post hoc ergo propter hoc.
People don’t need any “economic literacy” to realize that whenever something good happens, politicians are quick to claim responsibility, and whenever anything bad happens, politicians look for a scapegoat to sacrifice.
However, economic literacy would help people realize that if the economy is “perking up,” it’s in spite of Obamanomics.
