I’ve seen numerous works by Ropke here at mises.org but ordoliberalism and the “social market” seem to be more conservative than libertarian movements which Ropke was a part of. So was Ropke an Austrian? Was he pro-free market or against? If he was an Austrian and anti-free market, how did he reconcile the two?
