I just watched an old movie from the 80’s starring Harrison Ford, Witness. It paints the Amish in a positive light without pretending to “understand” them, makes a case for pacifism (not a case that I find convincing but it gives it a fair hearing) and portrays the police in a Rothbardian light. This movie should definitely be on the Mises Movie List.

I saw it a long time ago and also liked it. My mom rented it on VHS. I will watch it again and appreciate it all the more now.
I also just saw the end of Vanishing Point on TV. I need to watch the whole thing, but it seemed very libertarian - a lone maverick trying win a bet that he can get from Colorado to San Francisco in 15 hours. Since he is speeding, the cops get on his tail, but they can never catch him. The police cause lots of collateral damage, while he is actually a good driver at high speeds and puts the arbitrary speed limits to shame.
