Would corporations or limited liability companies exist in a stateless society?

I know that this comes up frequently, but I can’t remember what the consensus was. I guess there isn’t anything coercive about limiting liability, but I have heard people make the claim that corporations wouldn’t exist on a free market.

Thoughts?

I say limited liability would be okay for investors and people lending to the corporation (because basically they lend or invest realizing that the corporation has limited liability) However for tort laws where the corporation does something that hurts someone I don’t think limited liability is okay there because there was no consent.

You can’t limit liability.

Would you transact with anybody knowing that he has limited liability???

I think not.

Yes. Everyone does.
