12-year old kid reading the "Politically Incorrect Guide to American History"

**Ok, indulge me in a quick story"

So I take my seventh graders outside today to play kickball with other teams in our school and off to the corner of my eye I notice a kid sitting on the grass reading Tom Woods’ book. So impressed, I start talking to him about the book. He then proclaims that he is a libertarian and that he will be debating his history teacher on the New Deal! Amazing ! I have never met a middle school kid a bright as this kid. I gave him the website to mises.org and asked him to join the forums. I really hope we see him here

That sounds cool as hell. Maybe this history teacher he will be debating is your collegue?

are you going to help him prepare?

I was tutoring in a seventh grade classroom today at the private school I used to attend. Above the white board are life-sized cardboard cutouts of Obama and McCain, and on the wall are quotes glorifying the civil rights movement and “equal education.” It makes me depressed thinking about all the misinformation that works its way into the American school system, despite many dedicated and hard-working teachers. Hearing your story gives me hope!

haha that kid has a good head start on his classmates. Pretty soon he will be reading MES and later HA.

For what it’s worth, I got my sister to read it after she wanted to know more about how Lincoln was actually a terrible president, and she is only 13.

My sister is 13 also. I explained the NAP to her after she told me about a discussion her class had about taxes. Not sure she’d be interested in The Politically Incorrect Guide, however.

That’s amazing. When I was thirteen all I wanted to do was sleep and play video games.

Not much has changed lol.

good for him i was a confused republican at that age
