Does anyone have any recommendations for an American History book that can be used at about the 4th grade level? Most books today seem obsessed with PC nonsense and would like one similar to the ones published about 100 years ago that were more about the truth than an agenda. Unfortunately, Conceived in Liberty is probably a little too complicated.

I do not think that mainstream books are bad to read as long as you also read the correct things later as well 
4th grade is tough, but yes Woods would be a good place to start… (click and look for the Mises Store link at the bottom of each page)


In fact, I would actually send him a note and ask if he has any recommendations for such a young age. (7th grade is the youngest I’ve heard of even for this clear-cut material.)
