There are many people in the coast to coast world that believe 2012 will offer the entire planet an enlightenment, not an apacolypse. If this is true, my guess and hope is that this enlightenment will be people realizing there is no need for government.
They will be enlightened by the fact that government is indeed evil. And humanity must find a way to break free from government and find freedom.
I went from being clueless in 2001 about politics to realizing this truth in less than 8 years.
Just a side-topic here, for philisophical debate; if governments are evil, and also based on the consent of the people (meaning it will fall apart if its people go against it in large numbers), what does this say about people in general?
I don’t really understand what you’re getting at. To me, it means that people are trusting of one another but that we aren’t afraid to fight back for our voices if we’re misrepresented. Never have 1,000 free men done more damage than one man in power. That means people are supposed to be free and in charge of themselves only.
Sure I hope all the gov’t pensions go kaput. Even social security would be nice, even though many good people would lose a lot (at least it would teach many that gov can’t do sh**. But guess what? There a 99.9%, maybe 99.8% chance none of that will happen and everthing will continue like it has the past 100 years.
Ding! Ding! Ding! People are **cking! Stupid! With a Capital ‘S’! Remember in grade school all the kids would walk behind each other in a straight line? And never questioned authority (even though 99.9% of the teachers only worked there because they were too stupid or lazy to get a real job)?
Well, as far as people in places where government is completely dominant, like North Korea…I would say it doesn’t say anything about those people. They are merely slaves to the state that cannot escape.
governments are not based on the consent of the people. Otherwise, there would be no governments. Because some people are evil and some are good, some are both. So people invented the government and convinced the majority of good people and those who are both good and evil, that it’s the only way to “fight evil people”. But the reality is, that evil people tend to seek more power…and go for the governments. Thus governments will always have at least some evil people. I even would argue, that anyone who is in government is evil, but that’s another topic.
there is no need for government…and all we have is hope that there will be an enlightenment of the people of this planet…that they do not need government…it is evil…
government has existed for thousands of years…it will take all the hope and luck we can get to get rid of it.
they don’t whip if you don’t work at all ( an improvement of sorts). but if you choose to work for yourself and not for them then they certainly whip you (see:tax evasion)
