I don’t know if this idea has any viable legal merit or not, but it seems the FBI and the SPLC insinuate the Libertarian Party as a hate group, when are party is founded on the principle of non-aggression. I thought in any case it might be a good case to make in blog postings and writings…If anyone uses this as a base idea for a writing, please post a link so I can read and pass on…
"Would it be possible to file a class action civil lawsuit against the Democratic Party for their coarse rhetoric? The Common Law definition of Verbal Assault is “an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.” And this would be such that it would be deemed credible by an average person. There seems to be evidence forming in the blogoshpere that there might be a good case for that. At any rate, the negative publicity would force them to back down, especially if we could subpoena any records of such activities at the National Party level. It would make it very painful if it was class action in the name of all in a broad based populace movement of disenfranchised Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and Libertarians. And also, how could they retaliate against people who are literally scared to death and keep any broad legitimacy? I’m not a lawyer, so I don’t know if this has any legal merit or not… "
