Upon reading “Money and coinage through History”, which I found to be quite exciting and left me wanting more, I discovered that substantial parts were drawn from Alexander Del Mar’s book History of Monetary Systems from 1886.
Sadly he doesn’t show up on Wikipedia and I found few good references on Google apart from someone describing him as one of the “greatest monetary historians of his century” (something similar at least).
So, does anyone in here have any knowledge about his authorship, i.e. could you recommend reading his book(s)?
