Does anyone know of a good biography of Andrew Jackson? I’m particularly interested in his economic and monetary policy but any advice on any good biograpies of him would be most appreciated.
Robert V. Remini is a recognized expert of the Jacksonian era and has written a multi-volume biography on Andrew Jackson. Take a look at Robert V. Remini on Wiki. There is a list of books he has authored about Jackson and the Jacksonia area. There is a book specifically about the fight over a central bank. I have not read any of these works, but I have read other works by Remini and found them very useful. Good luck!
