Alleged Gunman Link

Lone Pentagon Gunman Being Linked To Von Mises Institute and Libertarians.

Thoughts anyone?

[P.S. If you are interested in my own demented thoughts, please private message me and I’ll “unload”[:O]]

regards, onebornfree.

Of course they’ve been piling up the pseudo-evidence too. More from Soros, aside from his psuedo-criminal investigation linking the man to the Mises Institute, from the link:

“The Pentagon shooting is just the latest in a string of violence seemingly motivated by far right ideologies. Of course, last month, “hatred of the government motivated a man in Texas” to launch a suicide attack on an IRS office. And a recent Southern Poverty Law Center report found a 244 percent rise in the number of extremist hate groups. But when the Department of Homeland Security released a report last year warning about the threat from right-wing domestic terror, conservative politicians and commentators were outraged, claiming it was an assault on conservatism. Sadly, the report was right.”

Was waiting for something like this to happen.

Mises.org and Lewrockwell.com better make backups of their sites in a safe place, cause their computers are about to be confiscated

I don’t see any proof of this.

exactly. I’ve never seen the guy in the forum. that’s for sure.

lol funny

Actually, I get it now. He has an @mises.org email address which is given out freely to anyone IIRC. I guess if the Obama-loving professor that couldn’t get tenure and shot up a school had a gmail account, google would be linked to Marxoid terror groups.

BREAKING UPDATE he never posted here

There is no record of this guy or his email in the membership system. I would critique his theory of pot money but that would probably be in bad taste.

Really? There is a community member named jpbedell. Can you see when he signed up? This is the thinkprogress post and the post it references where there is the mises email listed. I have no clue WTH bazpedia is.

this is just guilt by association type nonsense, obvious political rhetoric without any sense behind it. The Mises Institute cannot possibly be held responsible for some nutjobs’ actions.

Well too bad for Mises.org, cause they are going to be investigated, slandered, and dragged through court for years at great expense in any case.

This has been in the works for a long time. Rememeber what they did to to Communist Party in the 50s? Now it’s our turn.

Ah now I see it. No posts. Looks like he just signed up for the email.

I think you are being a little over dramatic.

lol seriously

Don’t forget that he was also a facebook fan of the LVMI. (from: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/4408406069_ab871e021c_o.jpg )

Then again.. he was also a fan of ‘Friend a Gorilla’ and the ‘Marine Corps Marathon’. Why aren’t we hearing anything about that?

Or True wife confessions? [:P] I want to hear confessions damnit!

My thoughts are that there has been a new impression among people of the “crazed right wing conspiracist”. They are, interestingly, quite specific about the part that they are “right wing”.

The impression probably originates from the John Birch Society, which, admittedly, was a right-wing group, and did entertain ideas that are called conspiracies.

But ignoring that, the rhetoric is basically, “These…right-wing people…hate big government…and they think it’s going to destroy us…so they want to destroy it, to protect their…selfish conservative agendas!”

All of this is quite interesting really, tagging the Right as the tinfoil hat lot, and perhaps with very good reason, but I think somebody failed to check the meanings of the words.

A left-wing person is one who wants to change or revolutionize society or replace the existing social order. A right-wing person is the one who wants to protect the existing social order and hierarchy. So a right-wing person hating the establishment is not exactly very right-wing, is he? It doesn’t make him left-wing either, but that only reflects how silly the terms are. But it is in this blog here ( http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/05/pentagon-shooter/ ), that they are saying, “Pentagon shooter was RIGHT WING, anti-government terrorist”. I am sorry, right-wing AND anti-government? Is that how being right-wing works now? The one who fights against the establishment?

It’s the usual game of good cop, bad cop, which is now spreading to the internet too. “Look at this evil left-wing reckless progressive! He’s probably a terrorist!” and then “Look at this self-righteous right-wing elitist! He’s probably a terrorist!” It’s a game of fake dichotomies that never ends. We can thank Americans for it - they love fake dichotomies. Divide and rule.

Just look at this blog. http://thinkprogress.org/ Right-winger this, right-winger that, blaargh right-wingers evil. All they needed to do was complete the job, and throw in “libertarian think tank” too with “far right ideologies”. I didn’t know a non-political philosophy is a stance on the political spectrum.

isn’t this also kind of a composition fallacy?

No such thing as bad publicity.

There is such a thing as yellow journalism though.
