America's Third Party

In the aftermath of the 2008 election one man David Jon Sponheim came forward to fight against the injustices being carried out by Barrak Obama. He is a supporter of small government and traditional American values. He has pledged to wage total war against socialism and the tyranny that is the result of socialist policies. His America’s Third Party (The fastest growing political movement in America) is designed to overcome partisanship and pass legislation everyone can agree on. At least that’s what he is telling people on his nightly Blogtv television show.

After doing some research I found that America’s Third Party does have a massive following and in response to that following David Jon Sponheim has decided to run for president in 2012.

Some of his policies include:

Corporate Government Enterpises - By creating “Corporate Government Enterprises,” the government will begin to compete against rather than subsidize private enterprise. The government will compete with private enterprise in such areas as medical, pharmaceuticals, retail, air travel, auto production and environmental technologie

Hybrid Capitalism - In the not to distant future, when the world’s resources become depleted, a new form of economy will emerge. This economy will be a blend of free enterprise and government managed industry. In this economy, the government will compete with private enterprise in a variety of areas. This “hybrid capitalism” will form the foundation for a new economy.

Employment - Here are a few ideas. Three day work week and six day business week, Telecommuting, Cap Annual Income at 2 Million

My question is how big is this movement? and does anyone think it’s possible for policies like these to one day become law through American’s Third Party or even the Democrats/Republicans? I certainly hope not but a lot of people seem to think differently then me.

He’s a socialist. That he thinks we don’t have “hybrid capitalism” already, shows both how little he knows, and how far left he’s willing to go.

Wow, what an original thinker. He’s really going to distinguish himself from the republican and democrat candidates, come 2012.[/sarcasm]

I don’t know how someone who praises a group of people who believe in extensive government intervention would have Rothbard as their avatar.

I… don’t think that he was praising them.

The portion concerning government competing against private enterprise was somewhat interesting, but I did not see any indication that the OP was agreeing with this “America’s Third Party”'s platform at all.

If anything, the OP was exploratory & seemed to be asking for more information and/or others in the forums thoughts on ATP (America’s Third Party).
