I just found this group. I’m a USA citizen working in Shanghai since August '09.

I would like to get together with anyone interested in libertarian stuff for drinks and conversation (in English) in Shanghai.

Not there, but good luck. I do hope there would be a branch in China…

You should do an expose’ on the economy there and show that the improvement in private property rights correlates with the increased prosperity. That should make for a good article.

Yes, that’s what I have in mind. But I just started learning about two months ago, not enough to be convincing I guess. However I’ve been introducing the website to my friends…

interesting. I am a Chinese citizen woking in Nanjing, two hours from shanghai by train.

Good idea Jesse, just a little beyond me though. I can probably pass on anecdotal observations.

Let me know if you’re going to be in Shanghai sometime & we could get together for drinks & talk - evenings or weekends.

I will be visiting family in China this summer, though they reside in Fuzhou. I may be in Shanghai for a day or two, but much of that time will probably be spent with my uncle. However, I’d certainly like to meet up with a fellow English-speaker.
