To determine the winner of the betting - I will look at both who chose the correct overall winner and the total divergence from the actual results. Maybe a few different winning categories…

Romney may be the Establishment whore but he’s crap! He lost to John McCain in 2008! (Romney Yellow, McCain Green, Huckabee Blue):
And this is supposed to be the big Thumper candidate that’s going to swoop in to a surprise Iowa victory??
Gingrich was the media sweetheart for the last 3 or 4 weeks before this.
Santorum so far has been polling low among the wider GOP but also hasn’t been “wrung out” like the other candidates, Cain/Gingrich/etc.
Huntsman is sucking a small number of libertarian votes off Paul.
Romney’s numbers in Iowa just a week or two ago were in the tank; now, all of a sudden, it’s a “dead heat” between Santorum/Romney/Paul. But wait, that’s not good enough for Pravda, errr, I mean the US media. Now, Romney has built a commanding lead of all things! The cover of the New York Times had this article this morning: “Amid Lead for Romney in Iowa Poll, Momentum for Santorum”. So, now we’ve gone from Romney surging to dead heat between all three candidates to Romney having a clear lead to now Ron Paul not even being a factor, the story is Santorum’s momentum.
And we’re supposed to believe the media isn’t being manipulated.

I think this Romney “surge” is phony. I think the Establishment is absolutely desperate to keep Ron Paul from winning even a single state. They’re going to throw the vote and give Iowa to Santorum.

It’s always possible that a lot of those undecided caucus goers will go along with Santorum, since he’s being portrayed as the latest star, but I think Paul is going to do very well. Then again, the weather’s supposed to be mild tomorrow, so I don’t know! These kinds of predictions are stupid!
I use to enjoy listening to John Gibson on Sirius XM, after today I’ll never listen to the guy again. I knew he didn’t like Paul, but he flat out blatantly insulted every Paul supporter out there today.
I hope Paul wins, as far as percentages, good lord I have no idea. I think the numbers will be extremely close.

I predict (no pun intended) Gingrich will win Iowa and Bachmann Virginia. Ultimately, the nomination will go to Rick Perry, and Romney will withdraw after a beatdown on Super Tuesday, the rest of the primaries after that being more of a formality than an actual contest. Perry will choose Gingrich or Bachmann as his running mate, and will go on to defeat Obama. Come next round, though, I think we’re going to see some more radical changes in the Western world, like a Paul victory in the US, UKIP victory in the UK and Front Nationale victory in France.

A war with Iran could very well mean the end of the world - at least as we know it.
