I am suspicious of these results, but one way or another, the Establishment would have been fools to allow Ron Paul to get momentum going into NH. Instead, they clip his numbers just a bit, not enough to raise an outcry, but enough so the media can continue to ignore him.
Is anyone aware of any empire in history that got its act together, cleaned up, shaped up and turned itself around on its own? I think they have all gone to ruin. We are not going to be any different.

I was depressed. Let down. Defeated… For half an hour. Then I remembered one of my recent decisions - if what I’m complaining about can go on a “1st world problems” meme picture, then I have nothing to complain about.
And really. Guys. Realize what we’ve done. We’ve shown that Ron Paul can win a substantial amount of the vote. Twice his national poll numbers. He’s competitive! He’s in it to win it! Once people get to know him, they like him! This is wonderful news! He didn’t win, yes, but look at the numbers! He’s 3% off from winning! This is not a defeat, this is an amazing victory! We’ve opened up thousands of people to the message of liberty, and they can hear us loud and clear!
Santorum doesn’t stand a chance at winning the national elections! No one is kidding themselves! He could never win crossover votes! The election is now essentially down to Romney and Paul!
As soon as the media begins asking Paul about Iowa, he can spin this amazingly well! Show them that the establishment can be beaten, that people listen! This is hardly a defeat given he was unknown a month ago.
Come on, guys, we’ve done it in Iowa. Let’s redouble our efforts and do even better now!

If it wasn’t for a rigged corporatist media and rigged voting there’s NO WAY Dr. Paul would be behind Obamney in NH. Esp. since NH is THE libertarian capital of the world.

So what? We have no idea who’s going to win. SO FAR the polls put Romney way ahead of everyone but that’s never for certain. How much of the vote did Romney or Santorum have in the pre-polls before tonight?
Funny you should ask. The final RCP average had Romney 22.8%, Paul 21.5%, Santorum 16.5%. And the Des Moines Register poll had the very last two days of polling that took place, with Romney 24%, Santorum 21%, Paul 18%…
Which all comes out to roughly the same level of accuracy as last time around.

Ah, but guys! According to people over at Daily Paul, we kept our voters later after the actual voting to sign up as delegates! Plus, Iowa has a proportional delegate system, so Romney and Santorum’s popular vote leads may in fact not give them many more delegates! Aaaand, the delegates they do get are not binding

OK look, I don’t like democracy any more then you but we need to do everything we can to ensure that Dr. Paul wins in NH. That’s why I’m campaigning there until the primary.

Well, nothing, if you don’t mind living a grotesque, unsanitary, quite dangerous, and grueling lifestyle (and that’s only if you don’t die trying to go back in time a few thousand years.)
Actually I take that back. There’s nothing wrong with actually doing that. And I suppose there’s nothing inherently wrong with wanting to do that either, but going around claiming you want to do that and never actually doing it…in fact doing the exact opposite and continuously using all the technology you keep denouncing while ironically claiming you need it to learn how to live without it…is hypocritical to say the least. And if I may say so, kind of makes one come off as a so-called “douchebag.”
I mean I admit I’m not perfect, but you didn’t actually think I’d be that wrong did you? And on easily sourced, empirical numbers? Give me a little credit.
