There are more people studying Austrian Economics now, than ever before thanks to Ron and the grassroots revolution. *Oh but wait, what about Mises.org ? Yeah! Those that get intrigued enough about Austrian Economics from Ron pimping it - all naturally end up here… The ‘statists’ are not scared away, because it is presented in the von Mises tradition, classical liberalism etc. They then encounter Rothbard et all the rest of the fellows and scholars and eventually progress to anarcho-capitalism.
Ron Paul filters folks to anarcho-capitalism whether he intends to or not! Those that can’t see that are blind. So stow the venom towards Ron Paul, just because you think it makes you “pure” or whatever. It doesn’t, it makes you a sectarian fool who dismisses any kind of progress (increase in no. of anti-interventionists). Enough of the broad strokes tainting everyone of his supporters under the same banner. And even if there are some of those that haven’t made it to anarcho-capitalism yet, they are still radical - in the sense they are for complete abolishment of numerous institutions - “END THE FED”… IRS, Income Tax, Dept Education, yada frickin yada.. they’re active, they are helping the cause, not hindering.

No, I would say the neoconservatives. They claim to be for limited government, yet advocate constant government growth and expansion. Bush grew the government by 40%. They advocate never-ending wars. They push their religion on others.

I think you’re confusing movement conservatives with neo cons. ‘Neo cons’ are the ‘conservatives’ like the Kristols and Charles Krauthammer - if you look at their domestic policies, they differ very little from Democrats. Many are pro choice and atheist. They only became ‘conservative’ because Democrats stopped being reliable on the military in the 70s.
I know you were, and I was generally referring to Ron Paul hatred which does exist as I described. And yes the a few mods over there have lost the plot. I know about the banning - I myself am serving a week. I got a troll to admit that they were ‘a troll’, and there were also open threats made against my life, (lol.. demanding I provide my name. location, photo etc, otherwise he would find out himself and “trash my life”). I made the point you do not have a RIGHT to privacy only property. One of the mods isn’t a fan of me.. incessantly pointing out their contradictions tends to get you on their bad side. The intellectual honesty of the minarchists over there is appalling. I for one can say Ron Paul saved my mind…I was initially supporting Obama and the only reason why I came to this site and the Lew Rockwell site is because of Ron Paul’s article titled “The Austrian’s were right”..At first I thought he was literaly talking about Austrian descent, I had no idea what austrian economics was. Next thing I know, I have a ‘Meltdown’ book in my hand, then “Economics in One lesson”, then Rothbard’s “Case Against the Fed” and now Block’s “Privatization of Roads and Highways”. Thank God for Ron Paul.
