Books Online: Inflation

Can anyone recommend a good online book about inflation?

I’ve already read Hazlitt’s What You Should Know About Inflation.

what has gov done to our money is probably free as a pdf on this site

If you mean in a historical standpoint (such as the Weimar Republic) there is the book Culture and Inflation in the Weimar Republic, though I haven’t actually read the book, it seems to be interesing enough: dissecting how the inflation occured and the effects on Germany’s people-though it most likely doesn’t pertain to Austrian Economics (and hence some what useless, though the historical part is most likely informative), though.

i read somewhere mises consulted on the inflation austria and germany in the 20s. but he agreed only if they met him on specific street corner in vienna at midnight. Inflation was such a problem they agreed. the printing presses were running around the clock to keep the money flowing. One of the printing houses happened to be on that corner. At midnight it was the only noise to be heard for some distance and mises said stop that noise.

Could you possibly link to an expanded version of this? Or some story about it? I am interested. And had trouble making sense of it. Cheers

i’m sorry i don’t remember where i read it. It might have been from a rothbard speech i watched on youtube. The great ones always have a flare for the dramatic don’t they. In anycase i’m sure with the scholars that post on here if it is true they will be able to verify it

I’d like to read something that’s a bit technical - and Austrian.

Perhaps a published paper or two.
