the basic premise here is that just because you know that the current situation is bad according to your libertarianism, libertarianism somehow prohibits you from making the best out of the situation
it really makes no sense to me. I dont like the government distortions in the school system, though I still go to a state school because it is cheaper than the subsidized “private” schools because thats my best bet.

Libertarianism doesn’t actually prescribe ‘sacrificing everything’. In fact, you’ll probably be more effective if you live a more balanced life, practicing libertarianism to that area where you have the most power.

I’m not a fan of the Three Stooges. Monty Python on the other hand are (were) pretty good at satire. I take it you find their satire to be amusing ? Or are you saying they are stupid ?
I can relate to him in the sense that it can be frustrating being a libertarian in such an un-libertarian world, but it seems like this guy was expecting for the entire world to change just because he learned about libertarianism.If you want the world to change educating your self is only the first step.

As for the article LadyAttis shared, it seems like this person is confusing “Libertiarianism” with “Anarcho-Capitalism”. What’s more, he really needs to take Freshman English again. His writing sucks.
Indeed, it attracts neanderthals to it as well judging by the comments, knuckle-dredgers too stupid to put together a coherent argument as to why libertarians are “retarded”.
I think he is just referring to freetalklive. They talk a lot about moving up to New Hampshire and “fighting” for freedom.
Of course, making a lot of money can get one lots of freedom as well, which I think is the path he has decided to choose.
