I believe that it is time to bring back that great american tradition of tying the fed’s hands…NULLIFICATION! I am contemplating composing a letter to Gov. Sanford to convince him that the only way this country is not going to turn communist is to bring back nullification. We need a new Kentucky Resolution to stop this now before Obama turns to convince the masses to “believe” in the government.
Once again only South Carolina stands against an ever growing leviathan. Obama seems to be the new Jackson, so we need a new Calhoun. Someone to voice opposition to the stimulus package and embrace free trade instead of more war creating protectionism, such as the “only American steel” clause in the bill. We need this more than ever with an executive that has the most power and popularity in history since Jackson.
There is no one to stand behind that represents opposition to government, not even the Republicans or LPs. Indeed Ron Paul has been one, but a member of Congress will not suffice as much as a governor, because they have more influence. So is it a good idea to bring this to light again or will it bring a civil war or domestic conflict to strengthen Obama even more? Because if Obama’s press conference is any indication, he’s power hungry.
Screw the Republicans, screw the LP, what we need to bring back is the NP! The election of the new RNC chairman probably alienated any “radicals” left in the party, the LP 's a joke, and it is a perfect time to form an opposition party to all this " no longer creeping" socialism. Bring Back Calhoun!
