I was wondering if anyone would share their views on the restrictions for Corporate Campaign contributions.
I have been thinking about this for a little while and I can not come up with a satisfactory answer in regards to corporation rights for something like this
In my opinion, while political corruption and cronyism is indeed a big problem in most countries (the US being no exception), the alternative of a centrally managed enforcement committee for this will not solve the problem, merely drive donations underground and make them harder to find, as well as being itself susceptible to politicization and corruption.
I wasn’t thinking a central committee would need to be established. While it should remain ok for individuals to donate as much as they wish. A LLC is not a person and as such should not take part in political process.
I have say I am still torn on this issue.
