I made it to 1:47. In the beginning he makes it sound like scarcity only exists in a capitalist system. Until all desires are satisfied, there will always be economic scarcity. A free market is simply the best way to go about alleviating that.

It’s funny, because out of all the things I am very confident in capitalism in, it is protection of the environment. If you took away the tragedy of the commons, pollution gets solved almost instantly when the owner is tied into the value of his property. If he destroys his property, I guess that’s his business, but he certainly has an incentive not to pollute it if he has to sell it in the future. A factory can dump into a city river and try to get away with it since ownership is so spread out and nobody is there to tell them no.

I agree completely. Hearing Walter Block talk about this subject was very enlightening, but it makes perfect sense. Almost always environmental problems are cause by government interference in some way.
