I was just reading the book review of Nudge.

Who IS this guy?

Who is he? It’s left me obsessed, because after seeing this review, I have endeavoured to search up a little more on this Sunstein. Thaler turned out to be of little import.

But this Sunstein is a weird fucking guy.

Weird as in the kind of high school dork that bullies wouldn’t even touch just because of how weird he is.

I saw YouTube videos of him, and he speaks gibberish that makes no sense. I, of course, can’t figure what in the blue hell he ever says, so I just have to rely on third-party reiterations of what they believe he thinks. There’s some talk of him believing animals should have court representation. Although nobody can be sure if that is exactly what he means because nobody ever possibly knows what Cass Sunstein is ever talking about.

This book, Nudge, itself is full of bizzare ideas like choice architecture and libertarian paternalism, which sound somewhat self-contradictory. How do you engineer or arrange somebody else’s choices, what in the fucking fuck?

I still have trouble figuring out whether this legal scholar is supposed to be an environmentalist, a behaviourial psychologist, an animal rights activist, or…Jesus Christ, what is this Sunstein about?

What’s amazing is that not only crazy neocons have long been appropriating the use of the word “libertarian”, it’s now “some leftist idiot” who is doing it too.

I am just amazed how both leftist social engineers and militaristic statists are using the term like their own.

Isn’t classical liberalism or libertarianism a virtually fringe movement with scant few supporters?

Because if there is doublethink involved, it still begs the question why anybody would use this doublethink to appeal to the liberty group. Liberals would be lucky to number a few hundred thousand in the US. Why this few hundred thousand matter or would be relevant to the mainstream cries out for explanation.
