IDK how much the people around here are into some of the anti state channels on youtube but recently there’s been a “debate” going on between an anti statist and a “libertarian socialist”. Here’s the video from the later, I’ve seen a lot of just plain bad critiques but this was just so painful to me that I felt I had to share it… It’s just SO BAD… For those of you who know what I’m talking about its like radio hogan on steroids.

You know, I don’t know when any of us ever said that money was always and everywhere the only incentive factor. Money will always arise in some form or another because it’s a common medium of exchange.
Frankly, this whole thing smacks of appealing to emotion. Oh, they’re so much better than us and are more empathetic people because they campaign for gay rights! (not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course–rights can be gay if they want to, I won’t judge).
The fact that we support homosexual marriage and pretty much all of the other of the “civil liberties” he supports are supported by actual libertarians

Currency is for calculation, not necessarily for motivation, this was Mises’ argument for currency, he never made the motivational mistake
Yea people are all different, and thusly utter freedom of association is necessary
You don’t understand economics, just because you think you do doesn’t mean that you don’t
Mises’ economic theory was a direct result of his understanding of human nature and all of your talk of “cooperation” is a direct result of the division of labor in a free market society.
Just because you attack one of the thinkers that someone takes many of his ideas from and then he defends him does not mean that he’s a dogmatist, nor does it means that Mises is necessarily wrong just because Ramond says you don’t understand him.
Your’e not a third as clever or smart as you think you are.
The scary thing is that I could go on. This guy is f***ing dumb and I considered actually starting to make videos just in order to give a thorough critique
If you do videos, please do not copy him. Please do this. Edit your video. Make it interesting. It’s IMPORTANT. This is to anybody who ever does a response. Please take the time.
What are the odds? 300 views and we watched the same video. I actually commented about how stupid his link was. Not that it isn’t interesting, but it just doesn’t make the point he or the video thinks it does. I’m following quite a few libertarian and anti-statist channels.
Austrolibertarian, DEMCAD, hotforliberty (includes active protest and great debate between Voluntaryists and Socialists), InTheEndIWasRight, ithinkronpaulissmart, MannixThePirate, and RaymondDundas are the only ones I still subscribe to that haven’t stopped making videos or abandoned their accounts. I also subscribe to channels that post conspiracy-like videos about what the government does that the people don’t know about and also channels like those of Cato Institute, Mises Media, Campaign for Liberty, and ReasonTV.
I would really suggest checking out fringe elements and jacob spinny, Fringeelements is practically one of my favorite thinkers and he’s just some guy on the freaking internet! If you knew him before his old account was band he’s confederalocialist
